About Victor Pasowisty

Victor Pasowisty has had his share of experience in the Music World. The son of Polish Ukrainian parents, he was born and raised at Mountain Road, and attended St. Joseph’s College in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. But Victor wanted to better himself so he moved to Toronto where he studied music. Although he played with the Symphony for many years, his real love for music takes him back to his boyhood years on the farm, and good old country and Ukrainian music.

He admired musicians like Andy Dejarlis and Don Messer, with whom he had the pleasure of working over the years. He appeared several times on CBC’s Don Messer show. He has entertained people from around the world for eight years at the famous Mayfair Inn in Toronto. He also made a living teaching music full time in his own music school in Toronto.

Mr. Pasowitsy died in 2001.
